Old(er) Antec case

Hi,

I have an older Antec full tower black case which has 2 80mm fans in front and 2 80mm fans on the read of the case underneath the power supply.

Questions below:
1) Is this case (not sure model) usable to put in a new ATX motherboard? It has 3 3.5" internal bays and a few 5.25" bays (currently with IDE 300Gb HD's + IDE DVD-R DL
2) Will I be able to put say a Corsair HX620 PSU in this case
3) Would the Zalman 9700 NT be ok in this case or perhaps something around same size for cooling CPU should I decide to do another OC system?

With regards to mobo I'll probably go with GA-P35C-DS3R and maybe Q6600 CPU. I could pull 2Gb of my Corsair Dominator from current newly built system to put memory into it to save me a few bucks on upgrading it.

So I'd need mobo, CPU, CPU Cooler, SATA drives (2) Probably SATA Optical as well (Samsung 20x), PSU and Video card. I already dropped a bundle on new box and the above depending on what I went with will run at least $8-900 at the least for what I'd put in it.

But I am more concerned to try and reuse the case if possible. I'll see if I can dig up a model number on it. I've had it for some time now (at least 4-5 yrs minimally).

If the rear of the case looks generally like the one on this review page:
http://www.pcreview.co.uk/revi...ses/Antec_Plus_1080/3/ , then it should take most any stadard ATX motherboard for AMD or Intel. Depending on the power of the system you intend to put in it, you may need to improve the cooling.

That looks pretty similar to my case. I'll check for a number on it to see if I can locate the actual model. Looks damn similar except mine is black. Front has mid-sized door for front access to cdrom/floppy drive (no USB ports on front, no ports at all actually so it shows its age). For what I'd consider putting in it see below for ideas:

1) Penryn Quad 2.83 or next model up or C2D Penryn early next year (I could also pull my E6850 to toss into this config and update current system with Penryn instead...to early to tell)
2) 2Gb Corsair Dominator (may take 2Gb out of current 4Gb config in other system)
3) Corsair HX620 PSU probably
4) Gigabyte GA-P35C-DS3R or DS3L if I don't want to go RAID on it
5) Zalman or other comparible cooler
6) Probably either 8800GT 512Mb or 8800GTS 320MB video

Currently both desktops hooked to 20"Samsung 205BW LCD via Belkin Click-Switch using Eclipse II keyboard and Logitech navigator mouse. I am using DVI to connect to the new 8800GTS...unfortunately monitor only has 1 DVI connector, I'd have to use the DVI->VGA adapter on 2nd system....Just some ideas as to what I'd put into it. Or keep current system and use it for something else part time (like Linux stuff) and build 2nd complete system but that'd be next year when I got some more money put aside and prices have settled a bit on forthcoming CPU's and DDR3.
