Old Conpaq laptop, system specs?

I just installed Win 98 SE on my friends old Compaq Presario 1200 and I cant find out the cpu speed, it doesnt list in the bios or system control panel. It says RAm is at 188 and x86 family.

Try using cpu-z from cpuid.com. Just need to extract the contents of the zip into any directory and run cpuz.exe.

Check out the model #, should be at the bottom of the laptop. It will look like 12XL???. After you got it go search it on Kingston memory config, it will tell you what CPU it have.
