old Compaq Presario 5172 motherboard help

I need to put the front panel power switch and LED wires back in the right order on the motherboard. We got things confused when we took it apart to make a frankenstein Compaq. Now I need help.
TIA, Barry

If you go on the Compaq technical support site, they have the manual for the board buried somewhere in there. By law they have to offer you the manuals for pretty much every piece of hardware they use. The manual will say which connector is which, positive/neutral. Red is almost always positive and if memory serves me right, blue is as well if you have a blue white pair.

I've been all over the Compaq site. There is a complete disassembly section but all they do is tell you to pull the connector. They have pin-outs for lots of jumpers, parallel & serial connectors but not one for the front panel stuff. I've even posted messages in their "community" section but with no help.
Thanks, Barry
