I'm going to build system with an AMD 64 +2800 & Radeon 9600 XT (stock speeds) and want to know if I can use my old case or not. It's a generic mid tower, brand unkown, with no fan other then the one in the PSU. It does have space for a front mounted fan. Money is an issue so I need to count pennies. The PSU will need to be replaced. Can I use the case or should I get a new case with more fans?

You'll probably need more fans...so you could either pick up a fairly cheap case with a couple of fans, or you could cut up the old case and put fans in it. Modding the old case might be more fun and if you mess it up, then you can buy another one.

Good advice.

The thing you have to remember is that an A64 is expensive, and I think it it worth it to take a little extra time to save up for a new case to prevent it from getting ruined by heat. That way you don't have to replace the case AND the processor ;)
