In the past week I have been very close to having a wreck three different times. Every single time it was an elderly person in their battle cruiser and they WERE NOT PAYING ATTENTION! Does a 5 foot tall 88 year old woman really need a freaking new Cadillac? I had to jam on my brakes today because she almost back right into me. I am talking about inches that prevented her from nailing me in the driver's side of my car. The sad thing? She didn't even realize it. I watched her continue to back, and she didn't check her mirrors a single time!

A few days ago another lady BLATANTLY ran a red light when I was pulling out of the grocery store. She was at least 106 and she was driving a Crown Vic. Now why does someone need that car when they have to sit on telephone books to see over the dash? It just doesn't compute to me.

Come to where I live. It's all 90 year old angry women and 16 year old wanna-be racers. I consider every day that I don't die on the road a successful one. ;)

u do realize that it will ever happen, as alot of elderly people go to the polls regular to vote, and any politican that votes to restrict or prohibit the elderly from driving after certain age are pretty much voting them self out of the office

But if we restricted their driving, who is going to take them to the polls? ;)

Yeah, I'm all for the yearly testing thing, but I don't see it happening anytime soon.

True. We need to prevent anyone over 75 from voting then.

it won't happen because lawmakers don't want to make laws that affect them. 16 year olds on the other hand.....
