Old Alpine CD headunit question.

Alpine used to make this headunit it was their top of the line at the time, but I can't remember the model #s I believe its 7xxx I searched through about 10 google pages, adn 10 ebay pages looking for alpine cd, but can't find it. it had that little knob that came out with a tab on each side that rotated a little(instead of a volume knob, and it was made around 1996. Anyone have any idea of the model numbers?
 
no thats not it, atleast not from the googl pics I looked at, it didn't have a volume knob, it was more of a permanent oval shape where the two short sides of the oval were able to move up and down(in sync one would go up the other down) to adjust the volume
