Hard liquors generally don't go bad, unless their storage conditions are horrid.

It's spoiled. You have to dispose of it properly, it generally costs a few bucks. I have some connections, I suppose I could get rid of it for you.. .but hey, only cause you're an ATer and I like ya ;)

depends on how much air space was in the bottles... the more there is the more the booze is likely to oxidize and taste like crud.

There are some hard liquors that go bad. Any cream based (Baileys, Amarula). Also, some of the nicer fruit liquor (Chambord for sure maybe some others). But vodka, tequila, rum, scoth, whiskey, and most others are fine if not better for the aging.

I read somewhere at least semi-reputable (don't remember where) that opened blended scotch will keep but single malt will go bad in weeks. It sounded like guano to me, but has anyone experienced that?

The booze is bad and highly toxic to the environment if it gets too old.

Send it to me, OP. I'll dispose of it in a green-friendly fashion.

Should be fine. Wine and beer have a very very short shelf life after opened. Like a few hours to a couple days at best. Hard liquor doesn't go bad as long as it's kept in a cool dry place with a top on it.

<--------------chemist: Its probably fine. The alcohol content might not be the same as on the label (evaporation), but the liquor should be fine

Ethanol is ethanol. It's all the same anyway lest we forget flavoids.
