OLD 3Com switch finally died today

I heard an awful grinding noise coming from my QA test lab today, and tracked down the problem to an old 3Com 24 port switch with a bad fan.

I took it as an opportunity to finally replace that dinosaur with a gigabit switch. The manufacture date on the old switch was February 21, 2001... I think that we got our money's worth out of it.

Does anyone else out there still have network equipment this old still in use where they work?

My school has a Cisco lab with switches and routers from the early 90s still in operation.

For some reason I have some old 1900 switches sitting around (need to be recycled). The 2500's I have are fine for a few small practice configs, but I mainly use my newer stuff and GNS3. The 2509 hasn't gone out of style yet for being an access server in a home lab.
