I was just checking my stats a little while ago, and noticed the total was the same as it had been 4 hours ago or so... My 1GHz machine hadn't completed any WUs in that time period, so I came to check on the 1.5GHz, and sure enough, it's stuck trying to transmit... So, I tried to head to OK's, but it gave me the old Cannot find server routine... So, it seems that it would be down, although it could be a local problem here, it's happened before... But this would be good for the race with DSLR, because probably once OK's gets up and running again a whole bunch of WUs will get dumped and the deficit will be erased 🙂
 
I am getting bizarre errors this morning...'server is too busy now to handle your request'?? WT?

My little farm is starting to fill-up....I need to DUMP!

You can always dump directly to the main SETI servers. I use OK's SETIQ as an emergency source. If you run SETIQ yourself there's no need to go through his machine.

It was up for a while during the night, a couple of hours after I posted this thread, but I can't get it right now...
 
This must be the new/old place to talk about OK's server. Sad that we have more than one thread about the server being down and are starting to get them confused. I wonder what the deal is this time? 😕 Thank goodness for 3-5 day queues...
 
I hope it gets fixed soon, only have enough WU's left in the queue for another 9 hours or so 🙁
Edit: Lesson learned; when it comes back up, I'll d/l a lot more for the queue 🙂
 
I tried to update at 04:00 this morning and could not connect.(orange kid) It has been down for at least 12 hours

Anyone have any idea what kind of bandwidth OK's proxy has?

He seems to be able to support an enormous amount of workunits.
I'm curious because I'd like to know if my connection is adequate to be used as a backup TeAm Queue.

My cable modem's bandwidth is 3000kbit/s download and 128kbit/s upload.
I suppose the 128kbit/s is what's important here, as that's the speed at which I'd be sending you all fresh WU's.

Anyway, in the meantime, feel free to use my Public SetiQueue ( siren.2y.net:5001 )

Let me know how it works for you all.
 
As I mentioned, and I believe Russ as well, each of us have SETIQ's available for use until OK has his back up.

Excellent that makes three Public Q's other than OK's for a total of 4. This will be a great service for the TeAm should we have a protracted outage as there was last year with the cable thieves.

My home fleet is alright, since I just set up my own queue connecting to Berkeley (darkmajiq.dns2go.com:5001 if anyone ever needs an emergency queue), but I'm starting to worry about all of the machines that friends have running for me, most of which have fairly small caches...
