Yep..."Jewing down the price" has been around for a very long time.

It's one of those sayings that seems to have a very accurate origin...:p

Kind of like "Tighter than a Scotsman."

I like how the guy in the back left of the video, when the speaker says that, looks around like "lol, did anyone else just hear that?"

Or maybe because conservatives have a sense of humor and won't sue you for using terms like "master bedroom".

I guess their sense of humor stops when the word "marriage" doesn't mean "between one man and one woman".

The expression jewed down would refer, I imagine, to the fact that many Jews arrived in America from cultures that barter over price as part of their cultural heritage whereas the custom here is to pay the fair asking price listed. This sends the message to the seller that he is trying to cheat the buyer creating a feeling of resentment toward the buyer and by stereotyping, his or her culture.
