While I am in no way happy with the sentence, at least he got something versus being let go scot free like most other cops who commit murder/manslaughter.

He hasn't been sentenced yet. The jury recommended 4 years. It is still possible for the judge to do whatever the Hell he wants just like the Liang case. Preliminary sentencing is set for May 1. I'd be surprised if he spends any time behind bars.
