Being fair, 2 million isn’t all that much to spend as a just in case supply. What strikes me is the attempting to return it.

They should have a website so people with conditions like Crone's disease can sign up and get a bunch of free doses. They were the ones who either couldn't get it or payed a lot more for it after the stupids started hoarding it.

Play stupid games, get stupid prizes. In this case $2,000,000 in hydroxychloroquine.

They ordered 2 million worth of hydroxychloroquine and it is unused...

They should be able to sell it. There are still plenty of idiots with actual degrees shilling it.

In April, Gov. Kevin Stitt, who ordered the hydroxychloroquine purchase, defended it by saying that while it may not be a useful treatment for the coronavirus, the drug had multiple other uses and “that money will not have gone to waste in any respect.”

What a jackass.

Take it out of his pay.

How odd that an imbecile would defend his imbecility. Surely he's not worried what people will think about his colossal stupidity. If you want to see the Dunning-Kruger effect you need only look at the Republican party.

Hydroxychloroquine is a treatment for lupus, per my layman's understanding. The Trump driven hysteria caused a shortage of it last spring and lupus patients who needed it couldn't get it or had a very hard time doing so.

Shame on OK hoarding it to the harm of people who actually needed the drug, but they should be able to resell it (depending on it's shelf life, something I don't know). How much they get is another question.

O-O-O-Oklahoma, where the wind goes whipping through the brain! .Hey... An Oklahoma legislator has introduced a bill to declare a Bigfoot hunting season.

Stupid once: buying 1,200,000 hydroxychloroquine pills because Donald Trump said it was a good idea.

Stupid twice: trying to get your $2,000,000 back 9 months later

Hey, maybe Oklahoma will see a malaria outbreak this year; in that case, they’re well-prepared.

Trump to Stitt: "Here hold my hydroxychloroquine while you're sucking my ass....I'll be right back, believe me, everybody knows this".

Not like they'll be willing to be injected with the real vaccine anyways.
Oklahoma is actually doing better than the national average on uptake, last I looked they were about #7 out of the 50 states.

I can't stand Stitt, but the FDA did issue on EUA for this, so a lot of the blame falls at their feet, and obviously Trump's for making them. I personally know multiple people in the state that use this drug for on label uses, they should just give it/sell it to them. Asking for a refund at this point seems delusional, but Stitt is the type of republican that thinks audits create money.
