OkCupid bank card scammers

I've gotten several of these over the past few months. What does this scam involve and what can they get with my bank card? Is this at all related to the recent Nasdaq hacks?

I'm interested on a technical level, less so trying to have my identity stolen or go to prison.

"Ok cool well this is how it goes hun I would have to have your card picked up and brought to me you can take all the money off dont worry about anything then im gona go to the bank and make my friend do the blind transfer process it only takes a few hrs for the money to go through so after that we can meet and split the money its $5,000 total so you get $3,000 i take $2,000"

Maybe certain banks have advanced security features that "it" doesn't want to deal with?
