im on a diet.. and have been doing pretty well (lots of subways, lots of veggies, no/little sweets, no coke, as little fast as possible)

a friend is swearing up and down that non-frozen biscuits aren't that bad for you. Specifically, a place called martins (breakfast food chain.. I can't find the website anywhere)

can anyone shed some light on this? I thought ALL biscuits were bad?

you can make them yourself quickly and easily with bisquick and they cost you like 10 cents each. i often make a giant batch on sunday and eat them for breakfast through the week. lots cheaper than cereal or bagels or any of that, and i love the taste.

they are just flour, a few other basic dry ingrediants, and milk (nonfat in my case). nothing "bad for you" about them. if you're a sheep and all freaked out about "carbs" then i guess you'd think they are bad, but it's not like they have tons of fat or cholesterol anything.

KFC Biscuits are horrible for you. Not sure about the refridgerated ones you can get at the grocery store.

Yep, its all bad. Everything. We humans have been eating all bad stuff since the beginning of time. Nothing is healthy anymore. But you know what? We eat it all and we still live. You can even have a little Liquid Drano and not die. We primates are much tougher than the doctors and research students give us credit for.

If I like it, it will go down. Eggs are bad too. I dont care. They taste good.

This just brings us back to the argument: Moderation in all things (at least with food.)

Popeye's biscuits rule...too bad they are probably 482% your RDA of sodium and saturated fat 🙁

And instead of biscuits...sure he wasn't thinking english muffin?

I eat whole wheat english muffins that aren't too bad for you.

If you ever look at them making KFC biscuits, they are soooooooo drenched in butter. I'm sure that if you make your own they can't be that bad, but fast food biscuits are made delicious through unhealthy means.

I remember making biscuits back in school. It's flour and most of all GREASE. I could not believe how much crisco went into making them. I expected the batter to be pretty dry, since the biscuits seem dry when they're cooked. But when you're making them it's like flour suspended in a crisco glob.
