Hey all, hopefully someone can help me or at least explain to me some problems i'm having with my ram overclocks.

Asus 680i mobo with an e6600
I currently have a 2x1gb Super Talent T800UX2GC4 DDR2-800 rated at 4-4-3-8 2.2v.

I can't get the damn thing to boot into windows at those timings on 1T at 2.35v. i tried 2.2v and it still didin't do anything.

in fact i can't get it to go into 1T at all!!

I've read that 1T is the way to go with 680is but i can't get it to boot with NO OC at the reported speeds.

Is this normal or did I get some really bad ram?

Also, inside the bios my cpu temp is being reported at 80 celsius, and coretemp reports it at tjunction 80 cpu 0 35 and cpu 1 35. should i be worried that it's at 80 or is this normal and i should rely on the individuals?

I believe that you are supposed to use 2t.

And as far as your temps go , get intel's thermal analysis tool (TAT) to get accurate core temps.

Tjunction is the max temp that your cpu is supposed to reach before idling. I bet that coretemp is more accurate then your bios reading. .. but get TAT just to check. If it is running at 80 that is too hot.

i can't get intel tat to work. i installed it, but i get some funky error when i run it.
