Okay UNIX Geeks, I need Solaris/Win2k Help

How do I add a Sparc10, with a drive array attached, to a 2000 Domain. Want it(Sun box) to be storage, hold VMWare images, and be accessible by domain members.

Do I need to use Samba, or does Solaris have any apps to help me out here??

THanks,

Inosuke

SAMBA will do it for you. Try sunsite.unc.edu or other SUn-oriented board.

Load SAMBA on the server, attach to the resource from the server, then share the SAMBA resource to the domain users (it would look like a directly-attached WIN2K drive).

If you have some cash to throw at it, Sun has it's own brand of SMB services, rumor has it they're very fast, very efficient. Check it out at the Sun website.

Good Luck

Scott
