Okay to use sliver theraml comppund on athlon 64 processor?

Was wondering if its okay to use thermal compund 10% silver on amd64 bit chips?

Absolutely. But I found that the stock TIM that came on the cooler in my retail A64 kit works really well. It may not be necessary to use the silver compound if you are using the stock retail cooler.

If you are using an aftermarket heatsink, definitely use the silver stuff.
