I was wondering if is it Okay to buy CPU, RAM, mobo and other hardware at a local computer show? (CoganFairs I think it's called, the Web site has the same name).

The prices are very low, but I'm afraid they might try to sell me a remarked CPU or a defective part.. It's easy to tell with an HD - it either checks out in Norton Disk Doctor or it doesn't, but with a mobo so many things could go wrong...

Would you buy such hardware at a local, 1-day computer show?

If you ain't sure, just stick with buying case, mouse, keyboard, ie nothing that causes severe problems if it goes wrong (apart from the case that is)
