autoplay for when you put in a cd, dvd, etc that prompts you about what you program you want to use to open it, right? (windows xp)

open my computer->right click cd drive->properties->auto play tab-> you then can choose each type of content and what action to perform.

if its something else, let me know.

Thats what i did initially and thought that it would work... but it doesn't...
i selected "prompt me each time to choose an action" but no go...

u know that menu that pops up when u pop in a disk and it ask u to select what actions to do?

it doesnt do that anymore... i think its in the explorer's tools>options but cannot find it..

you selected for it to prompt you on every single type? it shows it will prompt when you close it and reopened it, regarding every single type?

their method doesnt work... there is no settings tab in the cdrom properties...

i found the term for it so it's much easier to google "auto insert notification"

used tweakui i think it works now... not sure gotta reboot..
