I just bought a K6-2 450 which I want to use to replace a K6-2 300 but I don't have the manuel for the board so I don't know what jumpers to change and I can't find the manuel on line because I dont know who made the board. Is there any hints in the boot screen that will tell me what board is being used. Or do I need to look else where. I look at the board directly but could not find a name on it anywhere.

TIA for your help

MAke a note of the number it display when first booting up. Most of the time it's in the bottom left of the screen. The screen usually will also identify the maker of the BIOS. Then refer to Award BIOS.

I just want to say that you guys rule. I looked up the bios string at the award website and it turns out I have the Lucky star 5MVP3 board. Again thanks for your help.
