I get 190Kb/s when downloading a farcry demo and my friend gets 1500Kb/s+ on the same download on his roadrunner cable connection, im sure its not over 5 Mbits...I thought only T1 and higher go that fast??!!

Please explain...

1500k/s??? thats impossiable on a 5mb line, it woudl even be hard on a 10mb line

your friend is lieing

1500/8 = 187 you r max theroticial DL speed

5000/8 = 625 your friends mad DL speed

10000/8 = 1250 max on a 10mbit line

you need a 12 mbit line to hit 1500k/s

Comcast cable I believe just updated to 8m/bits. I have DSL and mine goes 5m/bits. It's fairly normal.

Oh, 1500Kb/s+?!?!? :disgust: No.

Not if its 1500 kiloBITS, which the lowercase b suggests.

Guys, he may or may not be using the correct abbrev.

B = Bytes
b = bits

Capitalization is important.

yea...he must be, i got the same numbers that anubis got, i was a little worried there...unless my friend is too stupid to realize that he upgraded to FiOS, lol.
