Since I recently required a Zenith home DVD player, I really don't need my DVD Drive in my computer no more.
It is a Pioneer 10X SLot Loader (IDE)
Now, I am looking to trade this for a 40X Cd-Rom drive and a HD.
Can any of you estimate how much I could get for this(in a trade) if I traded it for a 40x cd-rom and another thing...

Yet another question, do I really need a 40x, or is there a huge diff. between 32 and 40x?
Thanks to everyone in advance!

try in FS/T forums, some one there can better answer your question.

Don't trade your DVD drive, more software will be coming out in DVD format in the coming year. You might have a use for it yet.

Personally, I think there's not much of a different between 32x and 40x cdroms.
If I were you, I would do the trade.
because watching DVDs on a TV is more enjoyable than on a monitor (i'm assuming your TV is bigger than your monitor) :)

a 32x or 40x CD drive is almost worth nothing. I mean, you can pick them up new very cheap.

I'd say trade it for the biggest (or fastest) hard drive you can get and pay the $20 or less for the CD.
