They didn't build a new one yet? Dept of Homeland Security was supposed to have a new one built for you guys by now. Bet the money went into a lot of pockets.
They're putting up new stuff around the edges of the campus and will then knock down and replace the older buildings at the center once those are done. They've actually got the area just south of my building cleared out to start new construction.

It was like 40 out yesterday and I was bumming around my apt studying, no heat on or anything, my room mate came back and turns on the emergency heat and left it on for like 4 hours. When I got back It was like walking into an oven and he's chillin with the window open. We do have to pay for that you a-hole hahah

Well, I rode to work this morning and it was all of 25F at my house, so it felt good for about a minute and now it's just pissing me off. Engineering says "they're having some issues with the HVAC stuff"

Uh....no sh*t? Really?

18F outside and 58F in the lab today. I'm just going to do what I need to today and then leave. This is ridiculous. I apologize in advance for wasting your collective tax dollars.

12/15/04- Instead of being 55F, it's now 93F in my office. I think I'm going to get naked in protest until they get this sh*t figured out. :|

You expect efficiency in federal operations? You must be new there.

I fail to see how reminding them of a Tic-Tac in cold water is going to help motivate them to fix the problem. I mean, sure, they'll get a laugh out of it, but that isnt all that helpful.

Ahhh.....that's much better. Nothing like being flamed on a cold day.

/warms hands over flames

😀

If it makes you feel any better, Fausto, the primary non-potable water main running through campus burst over the weekend. My office (in the basement) smells, quite literally, like sh!t.

Oy. :Q

I'll take cold over crap any day of the week. At least I can put a jacket on.

I'm thinking about just taking off. It's supposed to be something like 60 out today.

Oh Yeah.... like working to fight disease and virulent virii is a waste . $500 toilet seats and no bid contracts for fuel delivery, now THAT'S a waste.

JMO, but funding the assless leather chaps industry is a waste, too.
