The gay jokes get old people, :p Grow a set of balls, and appreciate some good music. Elton John is cool, and has been a part of the music industry for decades now. He may not be for everyone. Nice to have variation in music, my tastes go all over the map. His stuff is great.

Nah he has alot of good older songs that I like from the 70's. But then I grew up in the 70-80's.

No what's more worrisome is the fact that you would be concerned how you feel about liking a particular artist or genre. I find it amazing that people will listen to certain music ONLY with privacy - either through earspeakers or when no one else is around. And if someone comes into the room they immediately turn it off - like they were busted for spanking something.

No. Elton John is awesome. I got Madman Across the Water a few years ago and I've been afraid to pick up another Elton John album because there can't possibly be another one that good. Elton John rules.

That's his best one, but there are plenty of other good ones.

Elton John is pretty good. Nothing wrong with liking his music.

I hate gender stereotyping...geez, machismo is making all the men dumber. Like those freaking "Man Law" commercials. I HATE THOSE!

Then by all means, recommend.

I can't believe another person likes Madman too (must be a Midland thing).

I happen to have a bootleg DVD of him performing Madman Across the Water in front of a BBC audience from start to finish. Simply awesome. He even changed the lyrics to Holiday Inn slightly...

Anyhow, here are some other great albums of his in the order of my preference:

1. Madman Across The Water
2. Don't Shoot Me, I'm only the Piano Player
3. beloved patriot Chateau
4. Captain Fantastic & the Brown Dirt Cowboy
5. Tumbleweed Connection
6. Goodbye Yellowbrick Road

His stuff after 1977 was not to my liking.
