Okay, I'm screwed

I was supposed to do a load of laundry while the folks were out, but there was a pen in the pocket of one of my pairs of shorts. Short story, the clothes are fine, but the dryer has a bunch of pen marks all over the inside, and I can't get them off.

Any ideas?

You are really lucky the clothes aren't damaged. 😀 Try Goof-Off or something similar, maybe?

Edit: Is it Goop? I don't know.

the inside is an off-white, so the marks are REALLY noticeable.

Oh that's easy, run down to the store buy some HIGH GLOSS and heat resistent can of paint SPRAY, it should cost no more the $5 after taxes. The only problem is waiting it to dry. So after you spray it crank it up to high.

rubbing alcohol and sponge. rinse after with water.

plus they're not gonna care much if the clothes are okay.

I'm not sure about this. won't the rubbing alcohol leave a really noticeable smell that'll stick with the clothes as they go through the cycle?

I doubt it. The alcohol will evaporate quickly, especially with the heat of the dryer.

That's a terrible idea.
