Welcome to the team!

To check your own statistics go here and use the Email address you signed up with.

As far as your production, you have several options. If you're running the GUI client you can set it to run all the time or run only when the screen saver is active. If you're running the command line client it runs all the time no matter what. I prefer the command line client myself. It's stable and it backs off when other apps need the CPU.

If you want to follow the teams daily statistics just look for threads posted by Hellburner and Fardringle.

:D Welcome! :D

Sounds like you're using the screen saver. This is fine, but if you want to keep tabs on your progress and cruch units a bit faster, I recommend using the CLI version. It can be found HERE. The version you want is called i386-winnt-cmdline.exe. If you decide to use it, there is a nice monitoring program called SETI Driver that will let you closely monitor your progress.

Good Luck!

If you do however want to continue to use the screensaver version(GUI) as a screensaver then make sure you enable the 'blank screen' options within the screensaver settings ,& set it to now more than 5mins.
Alternativley you could set it to always run in which case your'll get far WU's out of it:) ,make sure you minimse the window though.
BTW if you have at least 64Mb of RAM & a PII or faster system you won't even notice that SETI is running (unless you have a mass of programs running using RAM).With either version of SETI ,it will back off when other programs need the cpu time.
What machine(s) are you running SETI on?

Oh yeah & Welcome to the teamagain :D
BTW ref you sig LOL :)

I screwed up my "system" link down there in my sig... sorry, I was editing my profile.. how do I get back there to find my link again? Anyways.. I'm running it on a 900 tbird w/ 256 megs of ram.. I use a lot of ram intensive programs... ie, photoshop, 3dsmax, director etc.. I thought about running it on my server (p75 @75 mhz w/ 24 megs ram :) ) but I'm not gonna bother, it does enough stuff w/ that little power as it is.. If someone can tell me how to access my system profile.. let me know. thanks.. Oh, is there a way at all to monitor my progress using the screensaver version..?? I thought that the shell version was too complicated for my liking.. is it? I'm on 98. Thanks.

The text version isn't too hard to use ,but I'm afraid I don't know the command line switches off hand.
Ref the screensaver monitoring ,easiest thing is to just briefly open the window to see the % done ,though you could use SETIspy to monitor progress.

Ref the P75 with 24mB ram ,SETI GUI needs a minimium of 32Mb RAM ,also with V3.03 just 1 WU would take weeks! lol ;) ,that PC would be better off crunching RC5,OGR or GF

smp - The text (CLI) version is SIMPLE. All you do is run the exe file. If you wish to see the progress, add the switch -verbose to the end of the command line. With your system, you can definately use the CLI (text) version ALL the time. I run some hardcore apps too and I can't even tell. Sometimes I even play Quake3 with it running by accident, can't really tell. I did a test once and I only lost 2-3 fps.

Get SETI driver to manage SETI CLI and too cache work units, it's VERY easy to use. Just create a dir and copy the driver.exe file and the winNTv3.03SETI.exe into the same dir. Then run the driver.exe and you will see how easy it is.

If your serious about crunching wu's, this is the easiest and best way to go IMO.
