Okay I'm addicted...

I got a Wii yesterday, because my gf really wanted one. We also got Wii Fit, Mario Kart, and some other games.

I was flipping addicted to both Wii Fit and Mario Kart all day. I barely went out of my living room other then for the bathroom and kitchen for food/drinks. How did I ever hate this game system? Before owning one I played it 3-4 times, and didn't find it that fun. Now it's better than crack.....

Damn you Nintendo for creating yet ANOTHER system I love....

i felt the say way for about a week or 2, then after months of sitting around i sold the piece of shit.

oh, and wrong forum!

Two of my friends have wiis. They were the same way the first month. Now they don't even remember the last time they played them.

I got my kids a Wii for Christmas but they still bounce between the Wii and the Xbox 360. Mostly because all of our LEGO games are on the 360.

We got Samba De Amigo on Friday. I think my wife has enjoyed that more than the kids so far but they really like it too.

The good thing about jumping into the Wii later like this is that there are enough games in the catalogue that you aren't waiting around forever for the next release.

the novelty wears off... unless you play it in the way its suppose to be played - WITH OTHER PEOPLE! its a great party system and its loads of fun when there are other people around

novelty always wears off. but that doesn't mean it sits unplayed.
our wii still gets used everyday.
zelda, wii fit, animal crossing are our 3 most addicting games.

Wii Fit is awesome...

We got it because my gf wanted it, but I played for a solid 2 hours yesterday and had a ton of fun with it....

This. It gets old if you play by yourself, but it's a blast with others.

And there's plenty of non-shovelware that is worth it. Metroid Prime 3, Super Mario Sunshine, Twilight Princess, Zack & Wiki, etc. are all a blast.

Everyone said the same thing, then 2-4 weeks later....it's sitting untouched, collecting dust.

ENJOY!

That lasted about 2 weeks until it got old as hell. Most of the wii games (barring Mario) are a blast at first but have little replayability.

Yup, you will see you will grow bored really quickly.

It's a great game, but it came out for the GC. I think you mean Super Mario Galaxy.

Yeah I'm a tard, meant Galaxy. Thanks for the correction. 🙂

I never felt that way about the Wii. Got it at launch, played Zelda, finished Zelda, and pretty much didn't touch the Wii until SSBB came out.

The Wii isn't really a hardcore gaming machine, it's more of a family/group entertainment machine. I have almost no desire to sit and bowl on it by myself, but it's a blast to bowl with my family. Lately my wife and kids have been playing Rockband/Rockband2 for a few hours at a time several nights a week. My wife digs Big Brain Academy too, she's got a thing for logic puzzles. Anything you can play head-to-head is fun on the Wii.

I've had a Wii for nearly two years... It hasn't been hooked up for well over a year now. Come to think of it, I don't actually know where the console physically is in my house...
