wrong season to go back to air imho.

water will keep your system more stable at the set overclock you set it at during this hot summer.

while everyone on air was rushing to moderate there overclock in anticipation of the heat, i just turned up my fans a bit, and poof, i kept my oc at acceptable temps for its overclock.

:T

my 2 cents.

and what maintence? The only maintence i tend to do is when i tweek my loop, or want to change something, which is usually every 6 months. :T

Either lap the sucker, or buy it "custom-lapped."

Just be careful to grind away the ridge-line across the heatsink base so that "flat" doesn't mean the heatsink sits cockeyed. The SVC (Silicon Valley Compucycle) tech-rep told me they designed a jig to do it, and it took them about a day to "get it right."

Seeing how they charge $45 for the lap job it had better bet right. :)
