Okay I might get my hands on a Casio E-125 Win CE device..

how can I get it upto standard..

i want to be able to use:

1. proper webbrowser.. its got a IE in there, but i think its equivalent to the 3.0 version of MSIE.

2. VPN software.. preferably Cisco so i can connect to my School Network

3. Compact Flash WIFI card.

4. Any mapping /GPS software? Its only got one CF slot if I am right.. or is it two. Its got a 1gb Microdrive in it right now. I want to be able to use it for multiple stuff..

5. Any possiblity of upgrading software to Pocket PC 2003

Or should I just get a Sharp Zaurus 5500 off Ebay..

Ofcousre the Casio is free.. its my brothers.. he is letting me use it.

Wow that's an old one...I think you'll find it more frustrating than it's worth to get it to do all that stuff. Hell, I could never get my Toshiba e740 to connect to MS PPTP VPNs. For that matter, I couldn't even get it's built in wireless to work half the time.
