MSI K7T Pro2a....the damn duron 700 is unlocked, as is the T-Bird 1-gig.

the T-Bird runs just jolly good at any speed from 650 up to 1350 (heh...), but the Duron will either ignore any multiplier other than 7, or simply won't boot.

WTF??????

is this NORMAL???

and before you say "check your bridges", they've been checked.

the unlocking was done by probably the most reputable trader on anandtech's boards. he also unlocked the t-bird.

no words of wisdom here just curiosity.
how the hell did you get your 1 ghz bird to 1.3 on a pro2a board????? I am assuming this is mostly multiplier over clocking with possible fsb at 105 to 110

the reason I am asking is I have a little thread concerning pro2a and it seems ave fsb this board can do is 105-110 the highest one got was 115.

again just curios, personally have a 2a board with 1ghz tbird wont do anything over 1050 (pathetic)
please share your success

He has a 1GHz Tbird that remaps the Multiplier to 13x when set to 12.5x

That's what happens, he sets it to 12.5 x and it will post at 1300MHz, at 100MHz fsb, then tweak the fsb to 104MHz. He also got a primo chip and that helps. :)

I've tested and sold a slew of them that did that.

RoboTECH, duron problem should be on the way to being figured out. :)

oh yeah, AWESOME chip!!!

that's so cool.

Okay, time to give Steve (compuwiz1) his props here

this damn T-bird he sold me is AWESOME!!!!!

:)

If I turn my system off, leave it off overnight, then boot up the next day, I'm in WinME before the screen turns on. No $hit, that is one fast muddufukka.....
