Okay, guys, need help testing my server again.

I'm still trying to beat this thing in to submission, playing with settings and pulling my already thinning hair out.🙂

I'd appreciate it if you could try accessing it, and tell me if it's loading for you.

Thanks!

IE 5.5, loaded instantly on a cable connection.

We all should have said it didn't load just so you'd have something to keep your mind off the election fiasco. 🙂

The page loads as well as the pproxy stats and all the other first level links.

Can you keep up the growth rate on the pproxy?

Keep 'em coming, guys.🙂 Even if it loads for everyone, that just helps me zero in on where I screwed up. The way I have it configured currently, is not the way I'll be setting it up eventually. So, you're helping me zero in on the problem.😀

sciencewhiz,

You mean if other TA Cube people flush to it? Should be able to. The server is a dual P3-550 SCSI system with 256MB RAM and a 512K pipe. I can always increase the specs if necessary.

Its working fine on Netscape 4.75 on the east coast dsl..

Mozilla M18 also works.

Ie5.01 alspo works

Looks good in both IE in WinDoze & Nutscrape in Linux.

My port scanner only finds:

80/TCP....open...http
389/TCP...open...ldap
1002/TCP..open...unknown

Difficulty=4138314 (Good Luck) That means it'll be hard to hack 😎

It couldn't find out what OS your running, all though I know it's one of your Linux boxes.

I know your not totaly online, so I won't nit pick the PPStats pages, but I'm happy to see Linux is dominating (must be that cool Klinux distro 🙂)

That would be pretty cool, to have most the Borg funneling through your PPStats.

Your doing great with it.

Fardringle,

Yours just loaded instantly for me.😀

Okay, guys, one other request, and I think I'll have the problem narrowed to only one possibility, then I'll be able to focus on solving it. Can you please ping the following IP address, and let me know if it's responding correctly with no packet loss:

207.108.218.137

And, yes, I know it's a different address then the one above.🙂 It is the one that I actually want to use that doesn't always load. It's on the same server, but a different switch and network adapter, so the ping is designed to eliminate hardware as the culprit.

Thanks again!😀

Kilowatt,

HeHe. There will always be some Windows in the OS section of the stats. I have five Windows boxes here, in addition to the Mandrake server boxes and the Klinux slave nodes.😀

hehe /me knows
It's hard, if not impossible to be in this business, and not have a WinBlow$ system or two.

Ping timed out on 207.108.218.137

It seems that a certain "port" is not coming up like it used to.

You fixed the problem I found last time?

Michael

I pinged 207.108.218.137

I "trace routed" it

never got a dropped packet.

I telnet'd (nothing)

I FTP'd (nothing)

I sent a small package of nuclear waste (nothing)

Michael,

Yep, thanks to all the help you gave me, I think I've got her buttoned up pretty tight.😀

JonB,

Thanks for the nuclear waste, I'm cooking dinner with it.😉

Russ, NCNE

4 packets got through okay.

Tracert is crapping out on me.. (always does so don't worry).. Ooops guess not..

Wow.. my first tracert that has gone through in a few months. I'm surprised. 18 hops from Baltimore to there.
