Okay..got my FOP 32 with a t'bird, how should i put it on?? (Artic Silver???)

What do i do with the little pad underneath, does that need to be removed???

do i put artic silver all over the chip or just on the core??

Any suggestions and/or hints on how to put this on.

BTW it is an ASUS a7v133 mobo and a 1.2 ghz 266fsb chip

thanks

I have the same question.

I got a DP5-6H11 CPU fan&sink, on the bottom of
the sink, there is a paper stick on it by pink
color glue, and there is a thin layer of plastic
film on the paper, should I tear the paper and
clean the glue before install?

If I should tear the paper, why they put it there
? I am confused.
😱

I post my question on Technical Support,
Majinga is so nice to give me the answer.

See Technical Support,
"Need help to install a CPU fan. "🙂

ok, here it goes again, take off that pink pad thingy off completely and place very thin layer of thermal paste or arctic silver on the core, remember THIN layer just on your core. if you're using arctic silver use rubbing alchohol to clean up the mess. for a step by step instruction click here.
