I don't think it is a good deal at all. I bought the 60GB Maxtor from CompUSA on the 8th and it was just $199 then. It is 5400rpm also. Yes mine is an ATA100 model. I didn't even have to update the drive. I thought I would since it was shown as ATA66 on the box.

I think they also had the 60GB 7,200RPM DM Plus model for the same price. I saw on the box of the 60GB 7,200RPM (PLUS)that the ATA/100 controller card is now included in the box for free, no need for $50 rebate, just to let you peoples know...

Yeah, the 60 Gig Drive I've seen at Best Buy has the ATA/100 Card included in the box.
