A pretty smart choice considering the average disposition of patrons in the South.

Anyways, back on track for the thread while I understand wanting to protect yourself on your own property I think there shouldn't be a blanket castle clause to allow this. Just walking onto someone's lawn should not be the same as a forced entry because of the aforementioned accidents. Innocent lives of people who make mistakes should not be considered an acceptable cost for protecting your property.

In Texas, you can shoot robbers on a neighbor's lawn while talking to 911, according to this case.

Actually, they ran onto his property and then he fired. Of course the were trying to run away by running through his property to the street, but they stepped on his property first before he shot.

Ah yes, an informed and representative sample of the "average disposition of patrons in the south"...I've had far more problems at bars in the north, specifically Minnesota and Washington, than I ever have in Texas...not that I would ever be so dumb as to say it represented the "average disposition of patrons in the north"

I agree. Killing two known violent felons that have be deported before and are known drug cartel criminals who are in the act of another felony and then run AT HIM and into his yard when asked to not move or be fired upon. Definitely a hero in my book.
