OK XP Pro is really pissing me off. (sharing a internet connection)

For some unknown reason my wifes computer is unable to pickup the shared internet dialup connection i have on my machine. All has been good for months and all of a sudden her machine can not get out. She can browse my home network fine.

When i run the internet share wizard it fails to pickup my shared connection. I do have the "share internet" service checked with the static IP of my machine.

ANy advice? before I go insane...

Just a start with a few things to look for.
on your comp:
ICS Should be enabled with the network cards ip address of 192.168.0.1
subnet 255.255.255.0
on hers:
IP address should be in area of 192.168.0.2 - lets say 192.168.0.99 just to make it easy
subnet 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway 192.168.0.1
as for dns 192.168.0.1.

Oh, and if you have a Network Bridge running, get rid of the fvcking thing. That caused me no end of grief when I was doing ICS before I bought a router
