When playing CS for a few minutes, suddenly the monitor will turn off (not really "off", but the green light will go orange, indicating no input from pc i assume), and then it'll come back on, with the big red letters "OUT OF RANGE" on my screen, all else black. Any ideas what this is/what causes it?

Using a KVS visual sensation monitor, using reforce to set my refresh rate to a good 75hz, and using windows xp pro w/ sp1.

Any help greatly appreciated

Sounds like your monitor doesn't like that 75Hz. Is that within spec?

is the VGA cord securely screwed in? I used to have sort of the same problem with my cable modem (stopped transmitting the the PC for a minute, and then came back).

turned out I was kicking teh cable. see if thats your problem.

make sure your monitor is properly listed in the device manager and that you have the proper drivers installed. i had that problem with RefreshForce and it because windows "lost" what my monitor was.
