Although this would have been a bit of fun on the Video forum for people to discuss and share, this also would have given me the opportunity to compare my score against a 7800GT which i am looking to purchase soon.

Yeah but people are not purely discussing results in that thread (yes I checked before posting), which is the whole intention of the thread i posted. 😕

Also the sticked thread has already got 152 replies as of now, so you have to sieve through all of those replies to find what you want.

As you can see, the number of threads about the new 3DMark are already growing, so the mods have forced them all into a single sticky thread for now, to prevent all the little kiddies from get so excited when they increase their artificial benchmark score by 2 points, that they create a new thread to discuss/brag/flame/troll it. The "outrage" that these locked threads are provoking should be a strong indication that the mods are doing the right thing, as some of you guys seem ready to spooge all over the forums.

After the hype dies down, you can have your own threads - right now, use the one provided.

Yes I had feared that was the actual reason why (mainly the potential flame fests), and I guess I can understand if other threads are getting locked down too. I did think to myself why there wasn?t already a thread full of results I could read, guess this is the reason why.

Oh well, guess the few kiddies spoil it for the rest of us.

I think ill just buy a 7800gt anyways.
