As you get older, the prostate begins to push on your rectum (damn near killed em), thus poses a little bit of an obstruction to gas flow. The urethra passes through the prostate. When you pee, the base of the bladder relaxes and causes the prostate to drop a little or become a little more mobile, combined with relaxation of the anal sphincter (which works in concert with the urinary sphincters), decompresses the rectum and letting forth gas build-up.

Bravo!

do you clinch your ass when you're at the urinal? gas happens.

I've learned it isn't a good idea to relax the sphincter too much while at the urinal. Don't want #1 turning into #2. You'll also learn this when you get older.

Why not? What has it got to do with you? If someone wants to have a private spit in the urinal why peeing, WTF business is it of yours?

Because urinals aren't meant to handle thick globs of spit.

Especially the waterless ones at my work. You would mess them up.

Urinals are used for urination. Not spitting, or shitting, or anything else.

What if you have an sexually trasmitted disease and cant help but dropping some thick creamy discharge in the urinal at the beginning of every urination?

Chronic masturbation is not an sexually transmitted disease.

OP probably has some extra tubes that makes him not follow the standards.

They probably don't get the pee shivers either.

In addition to my anatomical explanation, this is another reason why guys fart when they pee. If one maintains a slight 'advanced prime' on the anal sphincter to quickly interrupt any unintended/unwanted evacuation, then your pee can't reach 100% flow rate. So then we push or bear-down in order to get a good flow, which then (obviously) is more likely to result in some squawking.
