Hi there,
I am on a LAN at work but if I decide to check my e-mail etc at home I normally just use Netzero.
Since moving up to Pennsylvania I cannot get NetZero to connect - even although I can dial the connection number using the telephone and hear the connection tones etc?
I have not changed anything other than the number I am calling from or to (creating a new location) - Netzero has worked perfectly in other locations without any trouble.

Is anybody else having problems?

I decided to try Juno - but that seems to always report that there was a problem connecting to their servers. One difference is that my laptop PCMCIA modem does not light up when it attempts to dial out - suggesting to that it is not even trying to call the number anyway.

Could all this be in anyway related to the MSN Messenger problems encountered this week - contact lists lost etc....:(

Can anybody help me out here?

I believe you've first got to test the modem to see if it's working
correctly. Try to call a local BBS with it. Those are the easiest
to set up for..........

The modem has been working flawlessly so far...not sure how to test the modem as we use NT4 on our laptops... I'm only clued up on Win 9X :(

I've been connecting to Netzero for approx 2 months now in Florida and also Missouri without any trouble at all ;)

Any ideas?

With Juno, try e-mail connection, which will automatically update the phone book list. Maybe the local phone numbers have changed.
Or try downloading the bluelight.com software, and see if that free ISP works.
