I am ssooo bummed about this magazine ceasing publication. It was by far the best game magazine to ever exist. A unique visual style, but more importantly, a well executed and mature editorial style are what hooked me. When I read a new Next Gen every month, it sounded as though I was reading a newspaper column, by an adult for an adult. Because this periodical was written w/ such journalistic integrity, it was as though they were some of the few writers to take the game industry w/ the seriousness it deservers. Every magazine left in publication about games now, w/ the exception of PC Gamer, sounds as though they are writing for 9 year olds. And no one can deny that that's Nintendo Power target audience. Gamepro, EGM, they're all kiddie-written drivel I used to wipe my rear upon the days' execrements releasing. Well, obviously, I am very, very, bummed about this. What's your take?
