Ok...who is having a worse time?

I had to come to Port Barre, LA. to take care of/watch my grandmother while her live in went to CA for a sick son. I am talking one of those 1 stop light towns. Alligators, bayous, frogs..the works. Ok....I wake up, drink coffee, watch news until 11..Judge shows come on at 11. I then sit watching them with her until 4, then How its made or whatever is on, news at 6...It is unreal. This has been every day for almost a week now. She cant see for jack so I do everything from dishes to laundry. She wont go any where and I cant leave her alone. I have never just sat and done nothing like this before. I finally had DSL hooked up. I was using dial up for a fews days on my lappy....but a few days was all I could do. Now at least I can surf and crap. I am not sure how long I will be here. It is so lame. I had to leave my wife and little ones to come here. Lucky we own a business so it does not matter how long I am off work. Only cool thing about the trip is she is a loaded old woman. She is putting 1/2 of her Chase Bank shares in my name. I will be getting around 18K shares. I am not sure what they are worth, but still very cool of her. I almost feel guilty...like she feels she owes me. She does not, she is my gram. It just sux sitting all day.

Yeah, don't get me wrong. I love my gram to death. It is seriously just so boring here that I am going nuts. My gram has always been like a 2nd mother. I would spend every summer here with them (grandfather passed) when I was a child. She has done so much for me that it is my pleasure to help her in a time of need. It just suuuuxxx leaving fam and friends for weeks, and really just sitting and doing absolutely nothing all day. I am trying to talk her into coming back to SLC with me. She has no family here anymore at all. I would love for her to be able to spend some time with my daughters/her great grand children. She would then be surrounded by loved ones.

I really do not know. I just know it is "Chase Bank". We have to meet with her lawyer Friday to finalize it. I will know more then. If I had my cam I would post pics of the paper work so you guys could check it out.

She has a walker. I have been trying to get her up and out of the house 2x a day for walks. I try and involve her in what I cook and things..play like I do not know what I am doing. She has Macular Degeneration and that throws a loop into all of it.

Yeah, as I said it is not a factor. I had no idea she was going to do this, yet I left work and my family to come and take care of her. She is my gram. =)

I was not aware it was JBM. Thanks. It does not show anything like that on the papers..well, to be honest I really did not look that close. I just saw the total shares, name, act#, etc. To be honest, I felt like a dick sitting there while she showed me this (I showed myself as she cant really see) I just kept thinking she is only doing this because I am here helping her. I was a pretty lame feeling. Anyway, thnx for the info guys.
