Iv heard 2 things on the day a new os is let out:
1) they open the store at normal times and they sell the os

2) they close the store at 8 in the afternoon and then they open up at 12 midnight and sell the os

help me, as i plan to be the first one in line.

Thanks!

Um.. if you don't mind my asking... why?

Just preorder it from somewhere, and see if you can have it shipped to your house on launch day.

Honestly, I do not know that they will do simply because I really don't care.

Now that's just silly. I will probably just upgrade to Leopard sometime soon after launch day.

I've heard it happening both ways. Either way though, you'll potentiallly be in a crowd of a bunch of mac heads.

Judging by the WWDC beta, it is going to be a sweet OS. Already going to get it after the crowds die down at Crabtree. :)

meh, Tiger works well enough for me. Maybe if I can get my work to spring for it, I'll get it, but I doubt I'll spend the $129 to get it myself. Too many other things I need besides a new OS that really isn't that much better than what I have.

it's actually $12.90. Amigaman forgot the decimal point. With tax, you don't need more than 14 bucks when you stand on that line.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M...S_X_v10.5#New_features

none of which are worth $129 IMO. ZFS would have been cool, but they axed it. It seems that everything thats new is just eye candy. No real "substance" if you ask me.

According to the link there will be basic ZFS support included.

EDIT: Spaces may make Mac OS X usable on a daily basis, and a new finder has been long over due. Safari 3.0 may even give IE users someone to laugh at. :p
