alright, idk what the hell is going on with the text messaging rates. alright, i got my phone 2 years ago and it's been a wonderful service.

but, it seems they are chaning alot of things

a.)now they have different plans, e.g. free nights and weekends, but you pay like $30 a month

b.)the AIM service isn't even working. more on that later

c.)text message costs. more on that later.

i purchased at "snapper" in around november'ish as i wanted to update my prior vox phone.
well, ever since i was using VM, text message rates were $0.10 to send and $0.00 to recieve. i thought it was great. well, look at these virgin alerts (sent to your phone from VM for news)

"Starting 3/16/06, text messages will cost just 5 cents per message to send & receive. Thumbs up!" - received on Jan 10, 9:07PM

"On 6/14/06, text messaging pricing will change to 5 cents apiece to send and to receive."- received APR 13, 5:27PM

and i just texted someone to see how much it charged and it charged $0.10. so wtf went on? on the website, it says that it's $0.10 to send and free to receive and it says that starting 6/14 it's 5 cents send/receive. ???

and for AIM service, i downloaded it to my phone when i first got it and it said all the things like you get a month free and such and then when i tried logging in:
"The service is currently unavailable. please try again later."
i emailed VM tech support and they said it was a problem with my phone :wtf:
saw on their website today:
"ight now, first-time Mobile AIM® users can get free AIM® service for one month. Activate Mobile AIM® service on your phone between 5/2/06 and 6/19/06. Click here for details."

ok ...

any VM users know what is going on? does your AIM work?

So now they charge 1/2 for sending, and 1/2 for recieving.

AFAIK VM canada still has 10c/sending... 0/receiving.
