Just got a smoking deal on 2 Lenovo M81 small form factor I5's with 8gb of ram (under $100 a piece).

Of course, the integrated video sucks donkey balls, so I want to replace it. The small form factor and low power PSU limit me somewhat. I've seen this recommended:

That recommendation is two years old. Is there anything else in this very limited video card market that will fit the bill for small form factor (low profile), single pcie slot, and not require additional power plugs from an already laboring PSU?

Here's a link to a similar small form factor computer (same thing, but with an I3).

If you are limited to single slot cards, I think the best option for you at the moment is probably a GTX 1030 which is sufficient for HTPC purposes and some basic gaming.

I remember reading about an INNO3D single slot 1050 Ti being reviewed this May but I don't think those are yet available for purchase.

EDIT:
I looked at the computer you mentioned and it seems that the board has 4 slots so you should be able to get away with a dual slot card as long as you make sure the card height and length are appropriate. Would recommend probably a 1050 Ti if you plan to game or a 1030 if you plan to use as an HTPC. If a RX 460 is cheap you can consider that as well but its about 20% less powerful than a 1050 Ti.
