ok. i am setting up my router, and trying to get everything working.

i am in the nat settings and am trying to get emule to be able to use 1112 TCP, and UDP 235. so i have the SMC 7008 ABR router sharing Covad 1500/128 dsl.

give me some step by step instructions, the internet is working well, and i have a few lil things i need to do, like wire up some cat 5 connectors in the basement.

and for the cat 5 connectors, all i need to wire up are the blue/white ones, and orangewhite ones right? wat about brown white, the green white are already used for the phone line. i am doing this correctly right? i have a crimper too.

No not if you want to have your wiring up to spec. To do it right you use all 4 pair per run. Data is only transmitted on 2 pair for 100baset and some will the other two pair for another computer or other junk, but if you're going to the trouble or running lines, do it right and avoid headaches in the future.

what if there are only 3 pair available per run? the other pair is being used as phone lines, and i only have 3 per run, and only 2 are actually plugged in on the jacks themselves, everything is run already, but the pairs are not terminated yet where i need to plug everything in at.
