OK to plug a 2.1 system into center (5.1) channel?

I was wondering if I can plug my ATP3 system into the center channel output of a santa cruz while the other channels go into some z560's? (I only have the ATP3's at the moment so I was wondering if I could somehow combine them with the logitechs.) Thanks.

I suppose it might work, you'd just end up with center channel output coming from both speakers and the subwoofer. 🙂

Thanks - that's what I figured, but will that be a good thing since it sounds like the altec sub is going up to at least 150 Hz. i.e. does the center channel typically go that low?

I don't know how low it goes. Center channel is generally where higher frequency sound goes, like voices, so I don't think it should be too bad. It certainly won't hurt to try it.

Thanks - any thoughts about how the megaworks 550 compare with the z-560's? Are the megaworks worth the extra forty bucks over the 560's (and my possible 5.1 combo?).
