we currently have three win98, two winme and one winxp connected to a switch that uplinks to another switch. the second switch connects two win98 and one win2k. we want to get dsl. can i hook the two switches to a router and share the dsl connection? anybody see any problems with that?

Well, I have a gigabit switch, a 10/100 switch, and one individual computer plugged into my D-Link DI-614+, and it doesn't seem to mind. 🙂

Try to stay away from two hubs plugged into each other. Switches are good because they only send data out to the correct port, whereas hubs send it out to the entire network.
