Ok to cut psu wires that I dont need?

i guess if you put wire nuts on it that would be ok. but im not really sure if that would hurt the psu any.
 
that is the most ghettofied solution...sounds like you shoulda got a modular PSU. I'd say get some zip ties...i guess you could cut them but be sure that you don't leave exposed wires to short out on things.

Yep.

if you really want, you could solder them back on nicely. as long as you properly terminate the ends of the wires, there is no problem. cutting the wires and taking care of the cut ends is no different than having that plug unplugged, as far as the PSU cares.

Don't cut - tie the extra wires back with zip or twist ties. You may want to sell it down the road and most buyers will want it to be in original condition.
