I installed "Global Dix player" Link to download it last night so I could watch my newest addition to my movie collection "The Life Of Brian" last night. Worked a treat... I come home today to listen to some music (Using Creative play Center 2) and relax on the decking in the 37 Degree heat in Melbourne today and the Mp3's sounded like the were going to pop right outta my 265 watt Jamo's... I thought at first I was going mad... so I opened up a track using Microsoft Media player and the sound wasn't there.
I restarted my PC (Running Win2k Sp2... all updates are current) thinking this might fix the turmoil... but to no avail. So I un-installed Global Divx and the sound went away when I played Mp3's through play Center 2... why ohh why did it do this noise and what the hell was the Global Divx player doing to my nice Mp3 collection... anyone? I hate when this stuff happends... can anyone recommend a DivX player to me so i can P1ss myself laughing over life of brian again some time soon?
I posted this here because I don't ever really post in any other forums other than 'operating systems' and most people who post here often will know who I am.
