Ok this pisses me off

Why oh why do companies have to do such stupid crap. On December 7 I ordered something from an online retailer that I will not disclose. I figured I would let it run it's course since the item that I purchased was supposidely in stock when I made the purchase. I had exams coming up so I forgot about it til last Friday(the 15th). I go to check on the order and it says processing. I find that a bit absurd so I fired off an email. The 16th I get the reply saying they had sold out of the item and aren't supposed to get anymore in. Then they say that I should just pick out another item that is in stock. I find that funny because the original item was in stock when I ordered it supposidly.

What pisses me off is that they have charged my credit card, I had to contact them to be informed that they sold out of an item, and the fact that they just must think that I buy stuff when I don't have a purpose. I may be different from most people but I plan my stuff ahead and buy certain items when I need/want them. I don't have a list of crap that I want especially near christmas. On top of that I already paid off this credit card including the purchase price so I am getting a refund from the company but it will end up giving me a negative balance and who knows how long it will take discover to send me the money back.

I won't be getting the item I wanted because I had finally found a price I could live with at this store.

maybe I am just being retarded. I just think I expect a level of service that doesn't require me walking a company through my order when something happens on their end.

I'd call the company that screwed up and ask right off the bat to speak to a supervisor. Explain the situation, and if this person gets anal, ask for their supervisor. Eventually, you'll get some sort of justice (hopefully)

I figure that it will do no good because they don't have the item anymore. What are they going to do?? They will just apologize. They will then go back to whatever they were doing. I already sent them an email saying that they will NEVER see another penny of my money. Not like they care.

Have you spoken with your credit card company yet? Most CC companies offer extensive support to protect against this type of thing. I would talk to them, tell them you would really like to dispute this charge, even though it has already been paid for. Just explain the entire circumstances surrounding this transaction, and see what they have to say about it. Can't hurt..... -kd5-
